QUEEN ESTHER 2

Once upon a time a woman who I was just meeting for the first time told me that I should  pray against the spirit of being a second wife. Because according to her, the biblical Esther was a second wife and seeing as my name was also Esther...*chuckles*

Just like someone can read the book of Esther and conclude that a man should marry a woman who can pray for at least 1hr (because afterall Esther was a prayer warrior) or a woman who can cook (abi didn't Queen Esther with all her plenty beauty/degrees still cook for her husband/Haman? Does she have two heads?) People have different levels of understanding of the Scriptures.

To each his own. Whatever you believe works for you. No need to berate another because they interpret the Scriptures differently than you do.

OK so previously on "Keeping up with Queen Esther", we already established that she was not only a beauty but character and  brains too.
Here's two more things we can learn from her:

1) Esther was hospitable.
She invited the two people who planned to wipe out her entire family to dinner! (Haman and her husband the king)
Infact her dinner was so good that the Bible says Haman left the dinner that day with joy and a glad heart.(Esther 5:9).
Kill them with kindness.

2) Esther didn't have a revenge plan. She had a plan alright, but it wasn't revenge.
"If I perish, I perish".

Second wife or not, she would forever go down in history as the Queen who saved her people.
